It probably comes as no surprise to most people that working in a job that allows for personal expression and authentic interaction makes for a much more satisfying work experience. Results from two sociological studies showed that employees who were socialized into the workplace with a focus on personal identity were happier, more productive and likely to stay with the company longer then employees who were socialized via organizational values.
